I am a school teacher/Behavior Interventionist and the end of the school year is approaching. I have worked with several teachers each year to do a fun countdown when the end is near. The last 26 days of school we do an ABC countdown. Each day is a letter, and we pick a theme/word for that letter and do an activity that is associated with it. It has been a HUGE hit every year and kids love it! It does not have to be complicated, and we typically only allocate like 30 minutes at the end of the day to celebrate our letter/theme. Here is a list of our ABC countdown and items to go with it. Each year we may change it up a little but have really kept it pretty consistent.

I am a mom to a teenage boy. I am still navigating the world of raising a teenage boy. It can be confusing because there are days where my son doesn't care about what things look like and then there are times where looks mean EVERYTHING. So when he asked to redecorate his room, I WAS NERVOUS. However, with his vision of simplicity and pilot inspired tones and with Walmart coming in clutch having the low prices, it ended up being a fairly good experience. Walmart is where its at!

This one is near and dear to my heart. In 2023 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was a huge shock for all of us, especially when it has never ran in the family. There is not a lot of time to process a diagnosis like this, and treatment has to be done FAST. My mom was given the choice to go through chemo, where there was no guarantee it would destroy all the cancer, or to have a double mastectomy. She chose the mastectomy. I cannot say that I know exactly how she felt, but I know it was a really dark time for her. She had a hard time accepting she was losing her breasts and she felt like a piece of her womanhood was about to be taken from her. It was so important for me to give her as much love and support during this time for her. I am so thankful to say, she is doing so much better and was able to have a reconstructive surgery. I tried my best to provide her with items that were helpful after her surgery (for the mastectomy and the reconstructive surgery). These were items that my mother told me were her favorite and we would love to share her favorites as it might help someone else navigating this journey. If you or someone you know is battling breast cancer, I just want to say I am praying for you!

These are all gifts I have received and they are some of my favorite and most memorable things I have gotten. I always tell everyone to not spend a lot of money on me so they have gotten creative finding me amazing things that are affordable for all.

A new year is a good time to reflect and grow. It is a great motivator to change directions if something is not working. I am at the point in my life where health is my top priority, therefor that is where my energy will be spent. Health to me includes ALL parts of my life, the physical and the mental. I am not just talking about exercise and diet (although I will have recommendations for that) I am also trying to better my life with less chemicals and less stress. I want to better myself in every way possible and I want to be around for a long time. Here is my list to activate a healthier, longer and healthier life.

This was my 2nd trip to Japan. We stayed about 2.5 weeks. I went with my son, my mom, my brother and my niece and nephew. We split our time in Tokyo area and Osaka area. We love Japan! There is so much to see! Let me know if you have recommendations for our next trip.

This list is made for teachers in early elementary, or parents that have children with special needs or just children learning to manage their feelings. I am a new Behavior Interventionist at an elementary school and these products have been amazing and have really helped me grow as a teacher and as a Behavior Interventionist. These are items that I do not actually have, therefor this is not a recommendation list but more of a “wish list”. These are random items that I would totally buy if my funds were unlimited. I absolutely love finding products that are SO CUTE or SO RANDOM but USEFUL and these are ones that I have stumbled upon. I think this is why I love to go to Japan because they are top tier at random items you did not know you needed. I hope to continue to grow this list because nothing excites me more than random things that I do not really need but really want. Please comment on my list if you have a product I should add! The weirder and more random, the better. LET THEM BE WEIRD.
