E-girl is a reclaimed term to describe girls, women, and otherwise feminine-leaning people, typically those on TikTok and/or Discord, who combine cute and edgy to create a new subgenre of alternative style. This mostly saw popularity in the 2010s. You may often see them with bright or pastel hair, black and white striped sleeves under a t-shirt, chokers, boots, thigh high socks, Hot Topic-esque clothing, and a makeup look with a lot of blush across the cheeks and nose, winged eyeliner, fake freckles, highlighter, and a rounded top lip. They also typically play video games, have lots of stuffed animals, and L.E.D. lights in their bedroom. This is my absolute favorite style. Here’s some of my favorite items to create the look.
