I cannot be the only person who schedules hair-wash day like it is an actual calendar event lol. Sometimes my roots are getting suspiciously shiny but I JUST did my hair, I’m running late, or I simply refuse to start the entire wash-dry-style process again. These are my favorite little fixes for stretching a good hair day one more day!

You know when the outfit is cute in THEORY but something is just...off? The neckline keeps moving, your bra is showing, the pants are slightly too long, your sweater is covered in pills or your dress has suddenly decided to cling to your legs. These are the random little fashion fixes I genuinely think are worth keeping around because they solve the annoying problems that make you want to change your entire outfit. Basically my emergency kit for making the clothes I already own actually cooperate with me.

I LOVE the feeling after an everything shower. The actual two-hour production required to get there? Less obsessed lol. Washing my hair, doing a mask, exfoliating, shaving, detangling, body care and then somehow still having an entire post-shower routine can genuinely feel like a part-time job. These are the products and little shortcuts I think make everything-shower night faster, easier and actually enjoyable, without skipping the things that make you feel ridiculously clean and put together afterward.

I refuse to accept that cute shoes automatically have to hurt lol. I’ve had way too many nights where a perfectly good outfit was ruined because my heels were slipping, the back of my shoe was rubbing, or I could feel a blister forming approximately ten minutes after leaving the house. So I went looking for the little products that actually make uncomfortable shoes more wearable, blister prevention, heel grips, cushions, emergency fixes and the things I wish I had BEFORE deciding to “just break them in.” Basically, this is my survival kit for wearing the shoes anyway.

I used to think setting spray was one of those completely optional makeup steps until I realized the RIGHT one can make such a difference. If I’m doing a full face, I want it to survive commuting, humidity, dinner, going out and whatever else I somehow end up doing that day. These are the setting sprays I think are actually worth buying, from super-grippy formulas for long days to dewy ones that make powdery makeup look like skin again. I included affordable favorites and a few splurges because you definitely do not need to spend $40 to make your makeup stay put.

I love a Sephora trip as much as anyone, but fall makeup is one category where the drugstore is honestly SO good. These are the affordable berry blushes, brown lip liners, burgundy mascaras and moody little eye products I’d buy when I want my makeup to look expensive without my receipt looking expensive too. Basically, if it looks like it belongs in a $200 fall makeup routine but costs under $20, it belongs here.

Fall nails are BACK and this is genuinely my favorite nail-color season. I’m talking deep wine reds, chocolate browns, moody plums and those rich neutral shades that somehow make your hands and jewelry look instantly more expensive. These are the colors I’d actually bring to the salon or use at home when I want a fall manicure that feels chic instead of overly trendy.

Fall makeup is officially my favorite makeup again. Think berry lips, brown liner, burgundy lashes, flushed cheeks and all the warm, slightly moodier shades that make even a basic outfit feel so put together. These are the fall makeup products I’d actually add to my routine this year, a mix of affordable finds, a few splurges and the shades that give you that perfect effortless fall face without looking like you tried to match your makeup to a pumpkin.

If I spend time doing my hair, I would ideally like it to look the same when I arrive at my destination lol. Some are definitely not glamorous, but I swear those always end up being the products I appreciate the most.

Some are cute and some are admittedly boring, but I promise the boring ones end up being the things you’re happiest you bought.

My favorite kind of fall shoe is something that makes a basic jeans + sweater outfit suddenly look like you actually tried. These are the flats, loafers, sneakers, and boots I’d wear on repeat this fall, some splurges, some way more affordable, but all SO cute.

College essentials that are actually worth buying. These are the things I reach for constantly between class, the library, coffee runs, internships, and basically living out of my bag all day. Think practical, cute, and genuinely useful and not random “college must-haves” you’ll forget about after a week.

Foundation is one makeup product I’m VERY picky about because if I’m spending $40–$60 on it, I need it to actually make my skin look better. These are the foundations I think are genuinely worth the money, from lightweight everyday formulas to full-coverage options that will survive a very long day. I included different finishes, coverage levels and price points because the “best” foundation really depends on your skin, but these are the ones I’d actually recommend spending your money on.
