Weird Tools I Used to Fight Long Covid

PLEASE READ: Everything in this list is not to be taken as medical advice. I am simply showing what things have helped me with my LC symptoms. If you come across something that you think might help, please speak with a licensed medical professional about it. That being said, I'll share a little bit of my history. My post-COVID issues started in January 2021. Today (as of June 2024), I'm about 90% recovered. The symptoms that I still have are mild fatigue and slight sensitivity to touching certain things. I had a lot of other symptoms (chest pain, SOB, air hunger, heart palpitations, etc.) in the past that eventually resolved on their own, so in this list, I will share some things that I did to help with certain issues. I've had little success with traditional western medicine and had a good amount of relief with integrative/functional/eastern medicine. You may notice that some of the things in this list seem rather “woo woo” or full of quackery, but I implore you to keep an open mind. I was once in that resistant mindset until I gave these things a try.

Frequent Urination (Resolved)

When I first started having frequent urination, I was going at least 10 times during the day and even during the night (which also contributed to my insomnia). It would often burn. I frequently was diagnosed with UTI, but cultures always came back negative. I managed it with SCENAR therapy and avoiding certain foods, but here are some suggestions that you can do.

Head Pressure (Resolved)

Even before my insomnia period, there were unusual times where I would get pressure build up at the bottom of my skull. I suspected that my lymphatic system may have been an issue. Long months of sleepless nights allowed even more waste to build up in my glymphatic system. Below are some ways I found relief.

Things That I Would Consider Trying Again

2

There are some things I tried in the past early in my LC journey that ended up flopping. Perhaps, my body wasn't ready for these things. Knowing what I know now and because my health is much better than before, although not fully recovered, I am considering trying these things again. Maybe you could try these too.
