Edinburgh, Scotland - Edinburgh Castle of which the oldest part, St Margaret's Chapel, dates back to the 12th century. Around 1510, King James IV had the Great Hall built.  the Scottish Crown Jewels are housed there as well. The views overlooking Edinburgh from the castle are breathtaking. Try to plan your tour to be there at the One O'clock Gun display. We were there on a Sunday, the only day they don't shoot it.
