Where To Hike When

The Canary Islands are a group of seven islands in the Atlantic, that belong to Spain, but enjoyed by millions of European tourists due to the year round sunshine and beaches. However, these islands have beautiful mountain landscapes to explore, and I had the pleasure of hiking in Tenerife in 2017. I wanted to share information I've gathered from my own trip and research so you can also plan an unforgettable trip to the Canary Islands.

Corsica (a part of France) is one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. I discovered it when I visited more than 10 years ago on my honeymoon and I fell in love with the stunning mountain landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil beaches. My husband and I visited in August 2013, not knowing too much about it and we are astounded by the beauty. I will definitely be going back and exploring more of their amazing trails.

You might associate Greece with beaches, sun scorched islands and ancient ruins but there is plenty of spectacular hiking to be had here in this southern European country. This list provides you with a lot of great information to plan a perfect hiking trip to Greece.

As a Canadian, I have hiked across this big, beautiful country and can say with confidence that Canada has some of the best mountain hiking in the world. If you enjoy dramatic landscapes (and a little wildlife), then this country is for you. From British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and Northwest Territories, to Quebec and Newfoundland & Labrador, there are thousands of hiking trails to explore.
