Where To Hike When

The Middle Eastern country of Oman is a hiker's paradise, with the Hajar Mountains in the north laced with trails and beautiful, arid landscapes. Part of the Arabian peninsula, Oman boasts some high peaks, including the country's tallest, Jebel Shams, at 3009 m. There are also the fjords of the Musandam peninsula to explore.

Corsica (a part of France) is one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. I discovered it when I visited more than 10 years ago on my honeymoon and I fell in love with the stunning mountain landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil beaches. My husband and I visited in August 2013, not knowing too much about it and we are astounded by the beauty. I will definitely be going back and exploring more of their amazing trails.
