Here I share the brands I use, used or tried. Even brands I have not yet tried, but come recommended highly from other artists. If I or another artist liked it and think it is good quality, I share it with you in the hopes of making your decision on what to buy and what is good, easy.

Having the proper substrate is important to get the effect you desire from the supplies you might be using. It matters when painting with watercolor to have the appropriate absorbent paper, or charcoal to have the right “grip” or “tooth” you need. Here are some of the brands I use when choosing a substrate.

Painting mediums are essential for a smooth workflow. They control your paint's flow, texture, stability, and finish (from gloss to matte) to make painting much easier. Unless you are specifically going for a dry-brushed texture, fighting dry paint on a dry surface is no fun at all!

I love collecting books, but to be honest I do not read them like I used to. I hope to change that and share with you the books I love and the books my grandchildren love.
