Dog Treats & Toys for Good Boys & Girls
I've had dogs in my home most of my life. Our first family dog was Dexter. He was a VERY fat, VERY smart beagle. He was so fat because he was so smart. You see, Dexter figured out how to open the fridge and pull out the meat drawer so he could eat whatever he wanted. Nothing we did stopped him until we finally reversed the door on the fridge so the open side was against the wall and he could no longer get his nose between the door and the frame to get it open. When we were teenagers, my sister ended up adopting a dog her ex-boyfriend had rescued. Eli was a shepard mix. By that time Dexter was getting old, but he got along with Eli just fine because he figured out that Eli could get things off the kitchen counter for him. Very fat, very smart beagle. After college, my brother moved in with me when he was transferred down to my area for his job. Soon after he moved in, I got a call while I was on a business trip. "You wouldn't mind if we had a dog when you got home?" he asked. We didn't have a dog when I got home, but soon after we went to the humane society and brought Onyx home. Eventually Onyx became my dog instead of my brothers. Onyx was a black lab mix, and the sweetest most well behaved dog. A few years laater while visiting my sister, we went to the shelter because she was thinking of getting another puppy. She didn't walk out with a puppy, but I did. Peanut was a goofball of a yellow lab/spitz mix who was afraid of his own shadow...literally.
