As a young girl wanting to play baseball in my area growing up, the rules were that you had to wait until age 8, unless you had a brother on the team, then you could start as young as six. You best believe I did! I wanted to play football as well, but mom wouldn't let me play on a team. So I did the next best thing and played with all the boys in the neighborhood every chance I could!
