Believe it or not, after 25 years of marriage, my husband and I had never been on a vacation of more than just a few days just the two of us…and all of those were fairly local (within 6 hours of home). So, we felt our 25th anniversary required something BIGGER. Off we went to Tulum, Mexico for a whole week! From ancient ruins to turquoise waters, this trip was a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and romance. This list highlights where we stayed, the best meals we enjoyed, unforgettable experiences, and even the stylish vacation wardrobe that made the trip feel extra special.

I really like the Gatlinburg,TN area during the winter! One of the closest Ski place near Florida, perfect for a road trip and a really like all the entertainment and places to go around there!

Some ideas for a daytrip to Tarrytown! If you can, sit on the left side of the train when you’re heading there from NYC and the right side on the way back to NYC for the best river views. And wear comfy shoes (a general good life rec) especially if planning to walk up the pretty steep hill from the train station to the bottom of Main Street. It has something for everyone no matter the time of year. But personally I prefer the summer time visits!
