Sometimes it can be hard to figure out where to go as a family if you find yourself in the Fort Wayne area, but these are things that are definitely worth being on your itinerary! Most of them free or low cost with only a few exceptions! There are also more options, but I've only listed things that I've personally experienced so that I can give an honest recommendation :)

Where to get the best meals, rent a car, find the coolest attractions, and most importantly, where to stay in Oahu! This is one of the best trips we took as a family, and we almost went again this year. The kids mostly enjoyed the beach, surfing, and all the amazing food! We did not do a luau because it is extremely expensive and didn't seem worth it to us. We weren't too excited about the food they served, but the show would have been neat. We did find a small Hawaiian show at the mall to enjoy, though.

Staycations are my thing and being able to just pack a small bag for some great fun and entertainment is a must for me.

Keep in mind that although Christmas in Korea is more of a commercial celebration focused on couples rather than families, the city is still filled with festive decorations and lights everywhere. The weather can get extremely cold, so make sure to dress warmly. I recommend wearing layers because it gets very warm inside buildings. During my winter trip, I wore multiple layers and even used hot packs because my hands and face felt painfully cold at times. Plan your outfits with both outdoor and indoor temperatures in mind. It's called the Charm City for a reason, y'all! Here are some of my favorite local (or within an hour) to Baltimore places to drop in or spend the day. After living here for over 3 years, I still haven't gotten bored in this city.

There’s so much to do in NYC! My favorite things to do in the city are: (1) to eat (see below for my foodie guide), (2) go to a broadway show (the TKTS stand has great discounted tickets – and I personally pick the shows I want to see based on the cast), and (3) walk around and explore the different neighborhoods! Each neighborhood has its own charm – I particularly love Chelsea (you can walk the highline and get something to eat at Chelsea Market), Nolita/Soho/Little Italy (which are all in walking distance of each other), and there’s nothing like walking around central park (with a stop at the Plaza Hotel or Columbus circle). It’s touristy, but I love 30 Rock (get something from Magnolia bakery while you’re there), and if you’ve never done the tour it’s fun to see the SNL set and hear from a real NBC page! Obviously, Columbia has a beautiful campus but unless you’re venturing uptown there isn’t that much else to do there. Brooklyn is its own magical world (and each neighborhood there is different too - Brooklyn Heights is bougie and beautiful, Williamsburg is hipster AF, and generally the pizza is the best in Brooklyn). But my favorite part about living in NYC was that chances are if you see a cool pop up or random event happening on instagram/social media, it’s happening in New York and you can be a part of it! Eater and Thrillist are two places that share these types of events.
