Visiting Seoul during winter is truly beautiful, especially when it snows, as seen in many K-dramas. If you’re planning a trip to South Korea in this season, here are some recommendations. Keep in mind that although Christmas in Korea is more of a commercial celebration focused on couples rather than families, the city is still filled with festive decorations and lights everywhere. The weather can get extremely cold, so make sure to dress warmly. I recommend wearing layers because it gets very warm inside buildings. During my winter trip, I wore multiple layers and even used hot packs because my hands and face felt painfully cold at times. Plan your outfits with both outdoor and indoor temperatures in mind. Hope these tips help you plan your trip better! | Disclaimer: This list includes some affiliate links. I grew up in the kind of town where snow didn’t shimmer — it settled. Ipswich, Massachusetts isn’t just “seaside cute” or clam-famous. It’s brine in your breath, cobblestones under your feet, and history etched into every windowpane. My past walks these roads. And even though I’ve moved far away, I carry this town in the way I speak, build, and breathe. Let me show you the corners you won’t find in travel guides — the grit, the grace, and the glow beneath the charm.

Rome has always held a special place in my heart—not just for its ancient wonders and irresistible charm, but because it’s woven into my own story. I first fell in love with the city the day I got engaged at the Trevi Fountain, surrounded by the sound of rushing water, glowing lights, and the feeling that the whole Eternal City was celebrating with us.
Returning to Rome years later with my 2-year-old daughter added an entirely new layer of magic to the trip. Our favorite things to do blended iconic landmarks with the simple joys of childhood: wandering through grand piazzas where she pointed excitedly at pigeons as if they were rare exotic birds, stopping to smile at warm-hearted nonnas who immediately adored her, and discovering vintage carousels that spun with old-world charm.
We took our time savoring gelato in Trastevere, strolling by the Colosseum, wandering through museums, and finding quiet corners like the gardens of Villa Borghese. Experiencing Rome again—this time through her wide-eyed wonder—made every familiar sight feel new.
Visiting Rome has become a tradition marked by both nostalgia and discovery, a place where big moments and simple joys come together. Each trip reminds me why this city will always be part of my story.
