Take it from me, whether its a short or long haul flight, these are some items that can make your travels more comfortable and organised. A trip that's smooth sailing makes all the difference when you're on holiday and trying to relax or explore.

We take several vacations per year and have found some items to be essential for land or cruise vacations. Additional tip- If you are traveling with a passport, make sure you make additional copies of your passport and email them to yourself and keep some copies with you. You don't want to lose your passport on a trip or have it stolen. Before a trip., I start packing small things and then as it get's closer I write down the items that are missing from that luggage on a sticky note and put it on the luggage. As I add that item, I cross of the item on the sticky note. It helps prevent missing items, but it still can happen, especially when kids do their own. When it comes time to leave and go home, we put all the dirty luggage into 1-2 pieces of luggage and then I can easily throw it all into the washer when we get home.
