We had the most magical anniversary trip to Banff in February and while that is supposed to be the coldest month to visit it wasn’t that bad compared to the wet, bone chilling cold we have in Alabama. We split the trip up between Lake Louise and Banff Springs. It was the perfect way to experience everything but I would have loved more time in Banff Springs.

Rome has always held a special place in my heart—not just for its ancient wonders and irresistible charm, but because it’s woven into my own story. I first fell in love with the city the day I got engaged at the Trevi Fountain, surrounded by the sound of rushing water, glowing lights, and the feeling that the whole Eternal City was celebrating with us. Returning to Rome years later with my 2-year-old daughter added an entirely new layer of magic to the trip. Our favorite things to do blended iconic landmarks with the simple joys of childhood: wandering through grand piazzas where she pointed excitedly at pigeons as if they were rare exotic birds, stopping to smile at warm-hearted nonnas who immediately adored her, and discovering vintage carousels that spun with old-world charm. We took our time savoring gelato in Trastevere, strolling by the Colosseum, wandering through museums, and finding quiet corners like the gardens of Villa Borghese. Experiencing Rome again—this time through her wide-eyed wonder—made every familiar sight feel new. Visiting Rome has become a tradition marked by both nostalgia and discovery, a place where big moments and simple joys come together. Our Amsterdam trip was October 3-5 2024. We flew from Keflavik to Amsterdam using Icelandair's stopover program. We arrived in the afternoon and took a train to Centraal Station from Schipol Airport. The train station is in the middle of the city and we were able to walk to our hotel. Amsterdam's public transportation is amazing so we used the tram to get around or walked. You can also rent a bike if you'd like! We bought the IAMsterdam card prior and booked a lot of experiences using this. This is another ambitious itinerary and we were exhausted but, again, so worth it!

Planned a 7 Night Italy, Spain & French Riviera Royal Caribbean Cruise starting with 5 days in Rome for June 2026. Flew into Rome for five days. Boarded the cruise ship. Ports included Livorno, Santa Marguerite Italy, nice, marseille, and Ibiza. Docked in Barcelona where we flew to London. Stayed in London for 24 hours and caught a flight home from London Heathrow.
