When I first moved to New York City, it was my first time in the city - ever. So you could say I spent my entire 12 months there living as a tourist. I've also visited a few times since, and can tell you that these are the main touristy things that you should definitely do during your visit to the Big Apple!

I was in the middle of moving; ALL of our clothes except for a weeks worth of clothes were at the new house. Then there was the flood that blocked us in together in a separate town from our main belongings, my boyfriend couldn't get home, my roommate couldn't leave work. Then I had vacation. I was stressed and didn't have any excitement in me to shop. These are things I longed for throughout my trip. I went to California for four days; Disney park with rides, TMZ tour in Hollywood. Then I went on a cruise for eight days; Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta. A mixture of window shopping and what I would buy if I went again

With a rennaisance attributed much to the establishment of the wine industry, Oregon started attracting more tourists, and, as a state realized they had much more to offer than the ocean and Myrtle wood trinkets. With the advent of high tech, Oregon's population exploded, and with that, came a desire to explore and experience new things. Destinations that were once virtually unknown suddenly became top of the list stops on vacation plans and long weekend trips. Oregon has so much to offer beyond the obvious Pacific Ocean and Mt.
