Did you know Saint Lucia is only a 4.5 hour flight from Atlanta? It’s a top honeymoon destination and there are lots of fun things to do and gorgeous views to see. The famous Piton mountains are a must-see! The locals serve locally brewed Piton beer and they’ll make you a fresh “Coco Loco” which is served in a coconut with locally made liquor. I’ve also heard of visitors taking a scenic helicopter ride from the airport to their resort!

I took a 10 day trip in Washington State asked out of Seattle. The distance traveled was 1700 miles. We traveled in late May, so there was still a lot of snow on the high trails. We enjoyed smaller crowds in the areas we visited and our trip ended Memorial Day Saturday. We did some hiking, visited National Parks and enjoyed the San Juan Islands. This was my first time to visit the state. Overall, it was a great snapshot of Northwestern Washington and so many places I’d love to spend more time.

In 2017 I did a road trip to south Dakota and Colorado. I live in southern Illinois so I traveled north to south Dakota and made a few stops along the way. After going through South Dakota, we drove down to Colorado, and then back home. This list will focus on what we did in South Dakota only. I skipped a couple of places that tend to show up on tourists lists because I didn't have time or it was out of the way. I skipped Deadwood and and the Crazy Horse memorial. I saw the Crazy Horse memorial from the road. I am sure there is plenty more to do in South Dakota, but this is what I did and enjoyed.
