If you've never cruised to Alaska, you may not know how it differs from any other cruise, but let me be the one to tell you that it is a very different beast. Of course, you will need many of the items on my Must Haves: Cruise Edition list, but Alaska will require a bit… more. Be sure to account for the difference in weight of your Alaskan cruise items. From VA to NYC is about 5 hours drive depending on traffic! Since having a kid, we went there once for less than 3 days and it's been successful. Visiting Seoul during winter is truly beautiful, especially when it snows, as seen in many K-dramas. If you’re planning a trip to South Korea in this season, here are some recommendations. This was a great vacation. We stayed at an Airbnb ~3 miles west of Hanalei, which is the last main town in Kauai as you head west towards the Nā pali coast. Unfortunately, the Airbnb is no longer listed, and next time we will look for a place even closer to a swimmable beach so we can walk and not deal with putting kids in the car. 90% of the time we stayed in a 10 mile radius because it was perfect for us. Our recommendations are just north side and basically just Hanalei surroundings. If we came back, we’d definitely adventure out a little more to see more -- waimea canyon, south side, etc. -- but Hanalei area is the dopest on the north side so we were happy as clams. This is a list of things we did.
