I have lived in Atlanta for about 10 years, I've seen restaurants open up and close down. We loved that it was a slower season, the Christmas lights and celebrations throughout the city, and experiencing the culture. The food is incredible, residents were very kind and *seemed* to appreciate the efforts to speak Spanish – mine is not very good, but I did my best and got us around!

I visited Hawaii years ago ON A BUDGET so this list is a lot of “what to do” and not so much “where to eat” since I was mostly eating free hostel pancakes and pasta I packed in my suitcase. But GOSH it was a good time!
