If you've never cruised to Alaska, you may not know how it differs from any other cruise, but let me be the one to tell you that it is a very different beast. Of course, you will need many of the items on my Must Haves: Cruise Edition list, but Alaska will require a bit… more. Be sure to account for the difference in weight of your Alaskan cruise items. No one wants an overweight baggage charge at the airport. Remember, it is usually cheaper to check another suitcase (and have room for souvenirs) than it is to pay for that one overweight bag.
