Our Amsterdam trip was October 3-5 2024. We flew from Keflavik to Amsterdam using Icelandair's stopover program. We arrived in the afternoon and took a train to Centraal Station from Schipol Airport. The train station is in the middle of the city and we were able to walk to our hotel. Amsterdam's public transportation is amazing so we used the tram to get around or walked. You can also rent a bike if you'd like! We bought the IAMsterdam card prior and booked a lot of experiences using this. This is another ambitious itinerary and we were exhausted but, again, so worth it!

We recently went to Texas for a 4-5 day trip between Dallas-San Antonio and let me just tell ya' – WOW! Texas has so much to offer between the historical sites, food and overall Texas vibe, it is so incredible and fun. While our trip was quick, I feel like it lives on in my mind on the daily. I am a huge lover of trips and this is truly one of my faves to date. Note: I did not bring kids on this trip so I am not including kid friendly spots necessarily.

I love my home state of Minnesota, even with the rep of the brutal, cold winters. What some people don't realize is Minnesotans spend A TON of time outside in the winter. If you happen to find yourself in Minnesota during the winter, don't be discouraged. There is SO MUCH to do! Get out there and embrace the cold!

My great-great grandparents left their home in Barile, Basilicata a century ago to emigrate to new opportunities in the US. Last year I went back to discover some of my roots. What I found was a virtually unspoiled landscape of mountains, farms and small villages full of history. Basilicata has suffered a tough past- poverty, bandits, earthquakes, landslides and even it's own mini dustbowl and has remained sparsely populated and thus much more lightly touched by modern society and rapacious tourism. If you are brave enough to visit (you'll probably have to drive!) you'll find magical medieval villages, gorgeous landscapes, food so fresh and flavorful that it'll make you cry and friendly locals - though don't expect a lot of English!

I've never been to the West Coast of Florida - the water was literally like GATORADE blue, sand was so soft! We did our trip LATE APRIL - and didn't have one cloud in the sky the entire weekend. Weather was pristine! Anna Maria Island is actually very quiet. Just a beautiful weekend to explore a little, eat great seafood, enjoy reading on the beach, playing in the water, and ending every evening watching a gorgeous sunset. Perfect chill vibes.
