Check out Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas! The best vacation spot that offers something for young and old. Going for an Atlantis vacation was a family tradition for many years. Aside from the pools, beaches and water activities, you can go to The Ocean Club Resort for a day of golf or spend the day at the spa. There is so much to do and see day or night! The kids club sets the standard for KIDS CLUB activities! The kids won’t want to leave!

Every time I visit a new city, my first priority is to check out the local movie scene: drive-ins? Indie theaters? Screenings in the park? I love them all, but my absolute favorite places to visit are historic old movie palaces, a handful of which are still in operation as working movie theaters after periods of restoration. Largely built in the silent film era (though built well into 1940s), these movie palaces represent a time when moviegoing first became a “destination” event for Americans (as movies changed from novelties to works of art), embodying a sense of glamour and excess that you just don't find in contemporary movie theaters. Seeing a movie in an old movie palace reminds you of why you fell in love with cinema in the first place: the stars! The glamour! The drama!
Looking for a place to get away from it all? Travel over to the lush Olympic National Park and spend a few days at Sol Duc relaxing in the hot springs, hiking, swimming and getting away from it all. Just a few hours from Seattle, but a world away, you'll appreciate the solitude of this park. No TV, little cell coverage means you can forget the outside world for a few days and just concentrate on relaxing. Spend the day, spend the week - you'll come back refreshed in body and spirit.
Since I was a kid, road trips have been one of my favorite things to do. As I've grown up, I've continued to go out on these types of adventures. I went into the Army, and well, lots of road trips moving from duty station to the next. I lived in a van for a while after the Army, and can say that I am a bit of an expert with roadtrips and what are the best items to bring!

Prague is one of those cities that really sneaks up on you—in the best way. The fairytale views? Sure. But also: trams that just make sense, dumplings that are somehow a full meal, and a surprisingly great free walking tour scene. I love the food, nightlife, and we are so close to many different places. We are 3 hours away from DC, 6 hrs from NYC, 1.5 hrs from Outer Banks. We have mountains and beaches in this state. Is beautiful. This is for the people who want to know a good recommendation for food or things to do in Norfolk. If you are here for a day or for a while.
