I grew up in the lower part of Westchester County (just a few miles north of NYC) and then I lived in Brooklyn for about 7 years during my early 20s, and more recently I spent a few years living in the Buffalo area as well. Many of my friends and family members still live in the greater NY area so I thankfully get to visit often and still enjoy a lot of the same old spots, restaurants, and experiences. I just thought I'd start putting together a list here with some of my favorite things about New York and I hope you find some interesting things to try whenever you're visiting!
London is filled with amazing culture, food, entertainment, shopping, and more. I recently visited and found some amazing spots/things to do. From incredible cinnamon buns to the rich history of The British Museum, there is something for everyone. Hope this guide helps anyone exploring London!

The magic of a West Texas sunset is truly healing—an experience everyone should have at least once in their life. The Big The Big Bend region of West Texas is a truly special place. Its wide-open spaces and untouched wilderness create a breathtaking landscape that's unlike any other. If you're planning a road trip (and you are, because there's no other way to reach these remote towns), let my curated guide be your road map to this unforgettable region.
When traveling, it’s always a good idea to have a bag of items for “just in case” purposes and to make those long, boring hours go by a bit faster. Here are some things I always keep on me while traveling :)
Just a short drive from Boston, Portland, Maine is a great place for a short escape anytime of year. This small city is known for its Old Port area along the harbor with cobblestone streets and a variety of shops and restaurants. If you're into craft beer, there are also several local breweries to check out!
In 2018 I moved from Nashville to Chattanooga to pursue Biology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Even though I graduated years ago I haven't even thought twice to move. I have met the most wonderful friends and the love of my life in this town. So even though I can only show some places I like to go fairly often, it is so much more than just a place; it is home ❤️
After numerous cruises, I’ve figured out what actually makes a difference! These are the things I pack every single time (and miss instantly if I forget!).
Planning your next staycation in Mauritius or even if you are a long term resident in here! Locking down must-go-to's and hidden gems across the island!
I travel often and where I stay means so much to me. My favorite hotels are the ones that make me wish I lived there. The ones with the art, the vibe, the care, and the knowing that where you lay your head should make you feel like resting with a smile on your face. Those hotels get it and I love them. I can’t wait to continue adding my stays to this list.
All of my favorite things to bring to the parks. I am no expert but these are all the things I bring every year when I go and would like to share my favorite finds

Bangkok is chaotic, vibrant, overwhelming, and amazing. At first, it can seem soooo overwhelming to create a guide to a weekend in Bangkok. Where should I stay, what should I eat, what should I focus on, etc. There are thousands of options for each. But that’s where I can come in to break things down and make it more accessible if it’s your first time visiting. No matter how many times I go, the energy of the city revitalizes me. I’ve been to Bangkok 5+ times (and have lived in Thailand for over two years), and while the sheer size of the city can be daunting, I’ve learned how to make the most of a weekend trip without getting totally lost in the madness. If you’re looking for a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and culture in Bangkok without feeling like you need a vacation from your vacation, this guide is for you. I’m a mid-range traveler who enjoys off the beaten path type of activities. Keep reading for my hidden gem guide to a weekend in Bangkok, Thailand:
Want to plan the perfect 1-week trip to Spain? In this space you will find an itinerary that will include Madrid, Toledo and Barcelona. You will get a chance to explore the culture, museums and art scene while trying some delicious food. I mean food in Spain is really something else! Another thing I wanted to mention is that we stayed in Madrid/la Gran via near the metro which was very easy to move around with and we also did trips from Madrid to Barcelona and Toledo by either bus or high-speed train. I hope this is helpful!
Salem has so many fall activities to offer. However, it can also be really crowded. Especially in October. Sleepy Hollow, New York is a fun alternative and where the famous tale by Washington Irving took place
My friends and family have made it a tradition that we go on at least one family inclusive beach trip at the beginning of summer and a friend only trip mid-summer. I feel like the beach is one trip that is both fun and relaxing for everyone.

Let me share with you some spots I visit with my family and activities to slay the boredom!
Portland has been getting some bad wraps in the media lately, but I can tell you when I visited recently, I had a fabulous time! It was a short trip, just a handful of days, but I optimized it, believe me! I made sure I crammed all I could into those few days! I can't wait to return - the natural beauty is simply breathtaking! I hope you get to enjoy the city soon!
I am faced with a wonderful opportunity to go on a cruise! I will be joining my mom and two other family members for a girls trip of the Pacific wine country. I am learning so much from their past cruise experiences and slowly packing a comfortable, efficient and trendy collection of cruise essentials.

Tote-tally awesome bags and cases that look good while protecting your stuff. When I worked in the computing industry, my company sold thousands of messenger, backpack, and attaché-style bags for laptops and tablets, so I am no stranger to terms like “denier”, “IP ratings”, and “crossbody”. For made-to-order and customizable bags/totes, please visit my other list benable.com/whsimdesigns/now-you-re-trippin-before-you-board-that-planeNote: This list may contain affiliate links, which means that I may receive a commission (at no charge to you) if you make a purchase using these links.
A more in depth list of what I travel with. This one is very flight attendant specific and not as traveler specific. Since some of these items might seem like a waste of space for you, but for us they are life saving.

Northern Virginia has quite a few spooky experiences and houses that pop up in late September and run through Halloween (or shortly thereafter). Not all of them have to be spooky--some embrace the Halloween season through fun activities for kids (or adults). These are my personal favorites during “spooky season”!

ever since i got in south korea, i’ve been completely obsessed with the cafe scene in korea. there’s seriously one on every corner, and each one has its own vibe — some are cozy and quiet, others are super aesthetic and perfect for photos, and a few just have that feeling you can’t explain. i started this list to keep track of all the cafes i’ve either fallen in love with or can’t wait to visit. it’s for anyone who loves spending hours chatting with friends over iced lattes, trying out new desserts, or just sitting by the window watching the city go by. i wanted a little space to collect those “must go” spots that make you feel warm, inspired, and maybe a little romantic too. so if you’re cafe hopping around korea — welcome, you’re in the right place ☁️
If you're going to Japan (especially long-term like me), don’t overpack—but don’t miss these essentials either. Japan has everything, but these items will make your life MUCH easier from day one.
👉 Japan is super convenient, but you’ll walk a LOT (20k steps daily 😭), so being prepared matters.
"The ultimate first-timer's guide to Rome! 🏛️ I’ve rounded up my favorite iconic landmarks, hidden corners, and the exact links you need to book tickets before they sell out. Experience the history, skip the stress, and see why they call it the Eternal City. 🇮🇹"
Quick First-Timer Tips:
• Comfortable Shoes: Rome is meant to be walked, and the "Sanpietrini" (cobblestones) are brutal on heels or thin sandals.
• Water Fountains: Don't buy bottled water! Look for "Nasoni" (public fountains). The water is ice-cold, free, and delicious.
• Advance Booking: For the Colosseum and Vatican, "winging it" usually means waiting 3+ hours in line. Book 2–3 months in advance if possible.
I'm two things: a traveler and a book lover. So, of course, I'm always visiting literature-related places during my trips! If you love reading and if you're in Europe (or plan to go there soon), this list is for you! You can save it to find it more easily later on.
All you need for when you're going to travel or even move.
Since I'm going to move soon - probably to another country - I focus on outfit that will be great for a long travel. And suitcases and ways to transport my two pets - a medium sized dog (Shikoku) aged 11 and a Siamese cat aged 15.
We’re on an adventure of dating on purpose. We hope to do 1 or more a month. We’re going in order but more spontaneous couples can throw all letters in a jar and be more random. Fun any way you slice it!
I have lived near the beach and around a pool my whole life. If you plan to stay the whole day out in the sun you want to be prepared. This list has all the basics and some.

Stepping out without the right essentials can feel incomplete. That’s why my travel bag is always packed with little lifesavers — from beauty must-haves to practical everyday items. It’s the perfect mix of beauty, comfort, and practicality — everything I need to stay confident and ready wherever I go. 🌿✨
My best friend went to dental school in Portland for 4 years. I would go and visit her nearly every year. Granted it has been a few years, but gosh darn I truly love this place. And miss it dearly. Breweries, rain, thrift stores, vibey homes, plants, and cool hipsters. The song that best embodies my experience here was ANYTHING by Tash Sultana. But probably Notion. Here are my recs for a cool experience.
I like my trips to include a little adventure, a little rest, time in nature, theater or live art, and really good food. These are the things I bring (and use) to make traveling feel easy, fun, and relaxing.

Most Ubud content makes it look like you need to fix your life before breakfast.
Journaling at sunrise.
Perfect yoga poses.
Some kind of emotional breakthrough before your coffee.
But the version people don’t really talk about is quieter than that.
It’s just…
walking slower, eating slower, not filling every second with something.
Nothing dramatic happens.
But somehow, your brain feels lighter anyway.
