I am an organisational queen who loves a plan & trips abroad are my favourite thing to prepare for! This is a mixture of products that are non-negotiables for me to have every trip I make.

I visited Portugal in May, and it's a charming place. I'd recommend going in April, May, September, or October for milder weather and fewer crowds. Portugal is budget-friendly; we used Uber everywhere in Porto and Lisbon, which was cheaper than taking taxis. Some taxis only take cash, so be sure to check with the driver before getting in. We took the comfortable train ride from Porto to Lisbon and scored discounts by buying tickets in advance. Inform your bank about your travel plans; I did not do it and could only withdraw cash in Lisbon but not Porto. Many attractions are crowded, so consider tour options to skip the lines if time is important for you. Bring comfortable shoes!! Lots of walking on cobblestone streets and Lisbon is hilly.
